Plots + Patches

225 Confederation Rd, Scarborough
May 13-27, 2026

Plots + Patches is a community arts and textile exhibition taking place at Cedar Ridge Creative Centre from May 13 to 27, 2026. Bringing together the work of the Community Arts Guild, Jumblies, Offshoots, partners, artists, and community participants, the exhibition celebrates collaborative making, textile storytelling, and the many ways people use fabric, stitching, and shared creative practice to tell stories of place, memory, care, and connection.

The project features an exhibition of textile arts, including community-created quilt pieces and patchwork works developed through participatory arts processes. Visitors are invited to discover what the Community Arts Guild has been creating over the past year and to take part in the ongoing Story Garden quilt by making their own “victory plot” patch.

The exhibition includes public drop-in workshops, an opening and closing celebration, artist talks, tours, drop-in activities, and presentations. Together, these events create opportunities for people of all ages and experience levels to engage with textile-based community art, meet the artists, and experience the richness of collective creative work.
